Over 5,000 Greek Islands to choose from…

A few days ago, my husband and I spent a wonderful evening with friends talking about what else? Upcoming vacation plans. And, of course, vacation for most of us, Greeks, means Greek Islands: whitewashed villages, Mediterranean flavors, romantic sunsets, mythological references, golden sand beaches, and sparkling turquoise waters as far as the eye can see...

The conversation was lively, and everyone expressed their opinion about which island is going to be our best choice for this year. And you know what? With almost 5,000 islands in Greece, it’s a tough choice…

Anyway, talking about this favorite subject, I got a great idea. I realized that some of us, Greeks, prefer the islands in the Ionian Sea:

picturesque villages, and lush vegetation rolling all the way down to endless sandy beaches with crystal clear emerald waters

and some of us prefer the islands in the Aegean Sea:

whitewashed houses, fertile valleys, scenic coves with sandy or pebble beaches and sparkling turquoise waters.

So I thought, why not give my readers a choice of which group of islands they prefer?  And I created two new collections with stories taking place on islands in the Aegean Sea and one new collection with stories taking place on islands in the Ionian Sea.
