Review of The Good Teacher by Lorraine Carey

on October 21, 2017

The Good Teacher is a captivating paranormal suspense thriller that grabbed me right from the start. I had to stay up late—way past my bedtime—trying to finish the book.

Daniella Reyes is an amazing, loving, and caring young lady with highly empathic abilities. As a first-year teacher at Mesa Luna Elementary, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Daniella is struggling to help the abused children in her classroom while at the same time trying to fight her own demons. She has to face mean people like Paul Striker, the principal, and Camilla Diaz, the grade three master teacher, who care more about rules and school policies than the students. And she also has to face Mason Greene—a cop and the abusive father of one of her student’s.

I breathlessly followed Daniella’s journey as she came in contact with the Women of Willow Wood and slowly discovered the secrets of a powerful, ancient cult. I kept flipping page after page, hoping she would find a way to heal her wounds and rescue her little students from suffering.

I can’t wait for the next book in the Women of Willow Wood series.
